EXAM METHOD:
Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission recruits candidates for the post of Assistant Public Prosecutor (Grade-II) in the state Prosecution Department through a direct recruitment process. [1]
Preliminary examination is meant to serve as a screening test only and the marks obtained in the
preliminary examination by the candidates who are declared qualified for admission to the Main
examination will not be counted for determining their final order of merit.
The Commission will draw a list of candidates to be qualified for the Main examination based on the
criterion of minimum qualifying marks as mentioned in Para 6.1 of this Notification.
The number of candidates to be admitted to the Main examination will be 10 times the number of
candidates to be recruited having regard to the rule of reservation of appointments. However, in each
reservation group, all the candidates who secure the same marks as that of cut-off marks of their
reservation group shall also be admitted to the Main examination, though the number of candidates to be
admitted to the Main examination may exceed the 1:10 ratio.
Onscreen certificate verification will be conducted before admission to the Main examination. No
supplemental list will be published in the place of rejected candidates or candidates who have failed to
upload documents for onscreen certificate verification.
